In “The Hidden Life of Trees” Peter Wohlleben writes that the forest is a social network. He describes how trees are like human families: they live together, ‘talk’ with each other, support each other as they grow, share nutrients with those who are sick or struggling, and even warn each other of dangers. He explains the processes of life, death and regeneration he observed in his woodland. A walk in the woods will never be the same again once you read this book. His book inspired me to make this bright green and gold painting.
