Beschrijving
A common thread in this series of paintings is Eekhout’s passion for letters:
“For me, letters and texts are a source of inspiration and wonder. Capturing feelings and emotions in words is impossible for me. That is why I capture them in images.”
This painting is inspired by the Old Testament (Genesis & Leviticus). This painting is the counterpart of ‘The Word‘, based on the New Testament.
The sheet metal texts are difficult to capture in the photo. They are therefore not clearly visible on these photos. You are always welcome to come and see the painting in real life in the studio. The changing incidence of light during the day ensures that the texts stand out more or less. This changes the painting during the course of the day.

“Voor mij zijn letters en teksten een bron van inspiratie en verwondering. Gevoelens en emoties in woorden vatten is voor mij onmogelijk. Daarom vat ik ze in beelden.”
Dit schilderij is geïnspireerd op het Oude Testament (Genesis & Leviticus). Dit schilderij is de tegenhanger van ‘The Word‘, gebaseerd op het Nieuwe Testament.
De bladmetalen teksten zijn lastig vast te leggen op de foto. Ze zijn op deze foto’s dan ook niet goed te zien. U bent altijd welkom om het schilderij in het echt te komen bekijken in het atelier. De veranderende lichtinval gedurende de dag zorgt ervoor dat de teksten meer of juist minder opvallen. Hierdoor verandert het schilderij gedurende de loop van de dag.
