In the series Echoes of the Landscape, I combine landscape forms with bold, handwritten and screen-printed texts. The paintings are large in scale and present a layered interplay between fields of color, script, and reflection. Sometimes the image evokes an impressionistic landscape, sometimes it is more abstract—but language is always present as both a visual and conceptual element.

The texts are prominent, visible, and meaningful. They run horizontally and vertically through the composition and form an essential part of the overall design. Some words are clearly readable, others more fragmented, but they always evoke questions, emotions, or thoughts. The use of metallic foils such as gold and silver leaf creates an interaction with the light: the words sometimes appear to glow or fade away, depending on the viewer’s position.

Echoes of the Landscape invites both looking and reading—or even letting go of both. In this series, I explore how language occupies space within the image, how landscape becomes a vessel of meaning, and how silence and words can alternate within a single painting.
