In the series Abstract Landscape, I translate the mood and imagination of books and stories into abstract landscapes on canvas. Each painting is a free interpretation of a passage, a scene, or an atmosphere from a read story. The landscapes that emerge are not geographical but inner: they embody the emotional space in which the story unfolds.
This series captures the subtle breathing of nature, where shapes and colors merge into a whispering atmosphere. The compositions are layered and suggestive, with fields of color and textures that evoke skies, water, land, or mist—without literally depicting the landscape. Text is subtly integrated throughout Abstract Landscape. Words or phrases from the original stories appear almost invisibly at times, other times softly reflecting in metallic foil within the painting. They emerge as whispers within the image—a trace of language permeating the landscape.
The text fragments are usually not immediately readable and blend as visual elements into the whole. This creates a poetic tension between image and language, between seeing and reading. Abstract Landscape invites the viewer to pause, observe, and surrender to an inner journey through memories, stories, and emotions.
